ALMN NAWQA Data Page

Data Overview

     Data for the Allegheny-Monongahela River Basins National Water-Quality Assessment Program were collected at selected sites for various surface-water and ground-water quality constituents. A total of 142 surface-water sites and 95 ground-water wells were sampled from 1996 through 1998 for nutrients, pesticides and various other chemical and ecological constituents. For an overview of the project design please refer to the Study-Unit Design Summary Table

     The below listed data links will take you to a list of individual sites or to specific studies, as appropriate. As available, viewable data for individual sites and/or studies are provided. WARNING--PROVISIONAL DATA, SUBJECT TO REVISION

     Some data collected for this project--including stream discharge, water levels, and constituents from water-quality monitors--are preliminary and have not received final approval. Data relayed by satellite or other telemetry have received little or no review. Inaccuracies in the data may be present because of instrument malfunctions or physical changes at the measurement site. Subsequent review may result in significant revisions to the data.

     Data users are cautioned to consider carefully the provisional nature of the information before using it for decisions that concern personal or public safety or the conduct of business that involves substantial monetary or operational consequences.
