Water Table Maps for Chester County, Pennsylvania

The U.S. Geological Survey began a program of mapping the water table (unconfined aquifers) and potentiometric surface (confined and unconfined aquifers) in Chester County in 1984 in cooperation with the Chester County Water Resources Authority. The maps are used to determine depth to water, direction of groundwater flow, and routes of contaminant movement.

Map of areas where the water table has been mapped.
