STATION.--01465500NESHAMINY CREEK NEAR LANGHORNE, PA LOCATION.--Lat 40`10'26", long 74`57'26",Bucks County, Hydrologic Unit 02040201,on left bank at bridge on State Highway 213,0.3 mi downstream from Mill Creek, and1.7 mi west of Langhorne. DRAINAGE AREA.--210 mi2. PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1934 tocurrent year. GAGE.--Water-stage recorder.Datum of gage is 40.57 ft above sea level. EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD.--Floodof Aug. 23, 1933 reached a stage of 17.3 ft, from floodmark,discharge, 30,000 ft3/s, from rating curve extended above4,700 ft3/s, on basis of contracted-opening measurement atgage height 15.94 ft, and slope-area measurement of peak flow. FLOOD STAGE.--NOAA, National WeatherService river forecast station flood stage provided to USGSApril 1999 is 9 feet. COOPERATION.--Funding for the operationof this station is provided by the Pennsylvania Department ofEnvironmental Protection, Bucks County,and the U.S. Geological Survey.
